A 77-year-old driver of a foreign car hit a schoolgirl to death at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The incident occurred at about 16:00 Moscow time in the village of Privetinskoye, Vyborg district of the Leningrad region.

The girl, born in 2012, died from her injuries at the scene of the accident. A criminal case was initiated under the article on violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles. Earlier it was reported that the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, would be informed about the investigation into the death of a Sverdlovsk woman.
