The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested the writer Boris Akunin in absentia. Akunin is accused of publicly calling for terrorist activities, as well as discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Justice previously recognized Akunin as a foreign agent. On December 18, Rosfinmonitoring included him in the list of terrorists and extremists. The writer agreed with the need for the Ukrainian army to strike the Crimean Bridge and Russian cities. He said that he was ready to support Kyiv and deserters in the Russian troops in every possible way.
