A man evacuated in critical condition after being half buried in an avalanche in Gerona. The alarm was raised by a group of hikers who were making the route from Núria to the Coma de Vaca refuge, in Queralbs (Girona), along the Camino de los Ingenieros.
The Meteocat meteorological service issued this Saturday a yellow risk warning due to the risk of avalanches in the area where the event was recorded. The emergency personnel have verified that the man was in a state of frostbite and that he was not responding to stimuli, so resuscitation maneuvers have begun.
