Local Police of Amposta (Tarragona) have arrested a 47-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of the death of his ex-partner. Sources close to the case have indicated that part of the body of the victim, who was allegedly murdered days ago, has appeared in the woman's home.
If this case is confirmed as a sexist murder, eight women would be the fatal victims of gender violence so far this year, 1,248 since the figures began to be counted in 2003.
