A court in Moscow extended the arrest of WSJ journalist Gershkovich, accused of espionage. The preventive measure was extended until June 30, 2024.

According to the Russian FSB, the journalist, on instructions from the United States, collected information about the activities of one of the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. President Vladimir Putin noted that Gerskkovich was caught “red-handed” in Russia while receiving classified information on a secret basis. The Wall Street Journal journalist was arrested in March 2023.
