An FPV drone destroyed an Mi-8 helicopter at the site of a military unit in the unrecognized republic. At the scene of the explosion, metal and plastic parts of the exploded drone were found.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu believes that the attack on the helicopter was a provocation “to maintain tension.” The Investigative Committee will conduct an examination and identify the explosive with which the drone was filled. The Ministry of State Security of Transnistria previously reported that on March 17, aMilitary unit was attacked by a kamikaze drone, an explosion and fire occurred.
