A criminal case has been opened in Primorye over the discovery of the remains of an Amur tiger. The head, tail, paws and skin of a tiger, separated presumably by a knife, were discovered and seized.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 258.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal hunting, transportation of especially valuable wild animals belonging to species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation) At the end of December, a case was opened for attempting to sell the skin of an amur tiger in the region.
