The costs of expanding the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus for the Bundestag are higher than previously known. The costs are now expected to amount to 395 million euros, another 30 million euros more than last estimated.
The reason given is, among other things, rising prices for building materials. Another building is also becoming more expensive by a double-digit million amount. The former US embassy in the GDR, another building that is currently being prepared, will be significantly more expensive.
