US Congressman Andy Ogles called for the annihilation of all Palestinians in Gaza, when activists asked him about the United States’ responsibility for killing thousands of children there. Activists on social media expressed their condemnation of these statements, and demanded that Ogles be immediately arrested on charges of incitement to genocide.
This is not the first time that American politicians and representatives have called for killing or destruction in Gaza or the displacement of Palestinians outside the Strip. Since the start of the war last October, the U.S. has refrained from calling on Israel to cease fire, and continues to supply it with thousands of tons of weapons.
