On Sunday evening, Al Jazeera broadcast the names of Gaza’s martyrs in the Israeli war on the Strip. The broadcast coincided with the first night of the holy month of Ramadan in most Arab and Islamic countries.
Al-Jazeera broadcaster Iman Ayyad began the bulletin by saying, “These were the headlines...but the diaries of killing, bombing and starvation over a period of 156 days are what is behind these headlines” She added, "Tens of thousands of martyrs...here around us you see their names because they are not numbers"
