[HIGHLIGHTS] “Assad is a killer.” Anger in Suwayda after a demonstrator was shot dead by regime forces

Demonstrators flocked from several villages to Al-Karama Square in central Suwayda, chanting for freedom, dignity, and the overthrow of the regime. The demonstrators carried banners describing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as a murderer and a criminal.

The media reported that security forces opened fire on the demonstrators indiscriminately, killing one person and wounding others. The mourners chanted during the transfer of Al-Barouki’s body, “Murderer, murderer, murderer... Bashar Al-Assad is a murderer.”
