Russia's military invasion of Ukraine continues. Russian and Ukrainian forces continue to fight in various parts of Ukraine, and many civilians have fled the country.
Russia's Putin administration has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear forces in response to Western countries continuing to provide military aid to Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on the 1st that it conducted a firing exercise of the ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) at a space base in northern Russia. It appears that the aim is to check the Western countries that continue to do so.
