Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his victory in the second round of presidential elections, which took place on May 28. According to preliminary data, Erdogan won at least 52% of the vote, while the candidate from the People's Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, received the support of less than 48% of voters.

The CEC of Turkey said that they did not register incidents that could affect the outcome of the secondround of elections. Turkish security agencies detained five people for distributing provocative messages on social networks about the course of the presidential election.
