The Fallas de Valencia attracted 800,000 tourists last year. The festival generated a global economic impact of 733 million in 2023.

One of the great Fallas artists has just said goodbye to the Special section... because such an effort is not paid for. "We have turned a popular festival into a tourist festival that barely has a return for us," laments Paco Pellicer, senior teacher of the Guild of Fallas Artists. "This is a serious problem that forces us to rethink the party," says Gil-Manuel Hernández, from the Fallas Studies Association.
