Whooping cough, a bacterial infection on the rise in the last two years. Frequent, serious and contagious.

This is the introduction to whooping cough. The vaccination of pregnant women in Spain contributes to the reduction of serious illness in infants, particularly in the first three months of life. The incubation period is 9-10 days with a maximum interval between 6-20 days. It is contagious from the beginning of this stage until the first two weeks after the onset of the cough. Neither natural immunity nor prolonged immunity with Boxysmal cough can prevent it.
