Al Jazeera monitored the distribution of limited quantities of flour to the people of Gaza City. Some citizens demanded that the number of trucks entering northern Gaza be increased.

The flour was divided into small bags weighing 5 kilograms, with the aim of distributing it to the largest number of citizens. The distribution of food aid was imposed by the occupation forces for several months after a siege was imposed on the city by Israel. The siege was followed by a series of protests by residents of the Gaza City area against the Israeli occupation.
