Unknown people tried to break into the chicken coop in Wallersdorf. The animals probably panicked and kicked each other to death.
In total there are around 5,000 chickens on the poultry farm. The authorities are investigating trespassing, property damage and violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The district veterinary office has been informed. The incident is being investigated by the police and the veterinary office.
