For the first time in four years, plums are being donated to a shrine in Kyoto. The event is called the "Kishu Ume Dochu" which means "Plum Festival" in Japanese.

The festival is held every year on June 6, the same day as the start of the cherry blossoms' season. The first plums were donated on June 5, and the second on June 7, with the third on June 8, the day of the final plums' harvest.
