The first permanent installation of Braille blocks in Japan. The blocks give directions by voice when you hold your smartphone over them.

About 20 people, including visually impaired people, took part in the hands-on event in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture. The project is part of a larger plan to make Braille more accessible to the visually impaired in Japan, officials say. The first of its kind in the world, the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
