Driver of a car that broke through a security checkpoint in the Vatican is taken into custody. The incident happened on Ascension Day in front of St.

Peter's Basilica. The driver was found to have a "psychological disorder" and was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was released after a short time and the incident was reported to the Vatican's security forces. The car was driven to the entrance of the Apostolic Palace, where it was stopped by a guard of honour. The man was then taken to the hospital for tests.
