Rapper Fetty Wap has been sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking. The 31-year-old, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was on trial with five co-defendants.

He is said to have participated in a drug trafficking ring that distributed more than 100 kilograms of drugs such as cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. The public prosecutor's office had spoken out in favour of a sentence of seven to nine years. He was arrested at New York's Citi Field baseball stadium in October 2021.
