Ursula Ehler died on Monday in Berlin at the age of 84. Ehler was the artistic partner and wife of the writer Tankred Dorst (1925-2017) for many years.
The playwright duo was married until Dorst's death in 2017. Together with Dorst, Ehler received, among other things, the E.-T.-A. Hoffmann Prize (1998) and the German Theater Prize Der Faust (2012) Ehler has been an honorary member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts since 2018.
