The city of Wurzen hoisted a rainbow flag on the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia. The flag was then cut and burned behind the city administration building.
The property damage is estimated at about a thousand euros. In July 2020, a flag and flagpole were destroyed in front of the town hall in Pirna, Norway, on the day of Christopher Street Day. The same flag had been stolen in May 2021 in the city of Nuremberg.
