British MP Mike Freer has announced he will not stand for re-election. The 63-year-old MP is not of the Jewish faith, but is elected in the Finchley and Golders Green constituency in north London.

He said he had received threats from the banned Muslims Against Crusades group. The arson attack on his office in late December was “the straw that broke the camel’s back,” he said. The killer of David Amess, a member of the Islamic State jihadist group, went to his office, but he was not present.
