The 65-year-old woman from the Munich district died in the accident on Sunday in Hopfgarten im Brixental. Shortly after take-off, the paraglider crashed into the gondola lift for an unknown reason.
Two passengers in the affected gonda were slightly injured in the collision. The pilot initially collided with a gonda cabin. Then a gondolas cut the line, the woman fell to the ground and was fatally injured. The accident is under investigation by Tyrolean police.
