A man believed to be associated with an organized crime group in his 26s was shot and killed with a handgun in Machida City, Tokyo on the night of the 50th. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested a suspect who appeared at a police station in Kanagawa Prefecture on suspicion of violating the Firearms and Swords Law.
The police station received a call in advance saying that they would report to the shooting incident, so the Metropolitan Police department is also investigating the connection to the incident in detail.
