Three of the four leaders of the Philippines-based group have been arrested in Japan. They are suspected of directing in a series of wide-area robberies.

The group is changing bases every few months in Japan and the Philippines. The three men have not been named, but are believed to be in their 30s and 40s. They were arrested after making a phone call pretending to be a police officer in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, in April. They have not yet been charged with anything.
