Up to 17% of the population says they have depression, one of the highest rates in Europe. Psychiatrists warn that Spain needs at least 1,850 more professionals in the coming years.

65% of those surveyed say they have visited a specialist for a mental well-being problem. 62% of Spaniards feel quite stressed, the highest level in the last three years. 60% take professional help while 70% rely on friends and family to provide mental health support if they need it.
