Lincang City is located on the bank of the Lancang River in southwest Yunnan Province, with the Tropic of Cancer passing through it. It has a tropical mountain monsoon climate with abundant sunshine, a large temperature difference between day and night, and distinct dry and wet seasons.
One kilogram of nuts picked from the tree sold for as much as 40 yuan. In 2023, Lincang's output of dried nuts and shells reached 96,500 tons, with a comprehensive output value of 5.939 billion yuan.
