Qinghai Oilfield is the main gas source for the three provinces (regions) of Gansu, Qinghai and Tibet in western China. It is the highest oil and gas field in the world and one of the earliest oil fields developed in China.

By the end of 2028, 6.3 million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved annually, 16.65 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity will be produced annually. By then, the first green zero-carbon oil production plant on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau will be built.
