Flooding in Italian coastal city of Ravenna left thousands without shelter. Museum Classis in Ravenna opened its gates and received as many as they could.

Director Francesca Masi: "We took in 700 people, around 200 pets and about 60 volunteers for a week. There were dogs, parrots and even a turtle. But not even a scratch was made, everything has gone great" The museum director hopes that they can help people in need also in the future, but under more controlled conditions.
