The Madrid 'glamping' with cabins in the trees that has become a pioneering example of how to take care of the forest. Monte Holiday Ecoturismo was born in 1980 and has not stopped transforming.
First there were the bungalows, then the tree cabins and the ecolodges, Nordic style houses. The idea is to create a firebreak strip that protects the campsite from danger of fires. Thanks to a 350-hectare forest inventory, they have a density of 60 to 80 tons of wood per hectare. This is a huge amount of energy that is accumulating in the bush.
