The Human Rights Council in Geneva adopts a resolution calling for a halt to arms sales to Israel. The decision aims to prevent further violations of international humanitarian law.

The Chinese representative expressed during the discussion his country's support for the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. The resolution was adopted by a majority of 28 votes, with 6 countries opposed and 13 members abstaining from voting, according to Al Jazeera's correspondent Lotfi Al-Masoudi.
