The Corpus Application and Research Center of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Shanda University has been officially established this year. Based on years of research on annual English hot words, the research involved in corpus linguistics, machine translation, English teaching, dictionary and textbook compilation and other fields.
One of the current tasks is how to say "popular science" solar terms in English, and tell about the origin, cultural connotation and cross-strait solar terms folk customs. Zeng Taiyuan hopes that through his own efforts, compatriots on both sides of the strait would have a better understanding of the 24 solar terms.
