Swiss traffic tickets will soon also be enforced in Germany. Anyone who drove too fast or parked incorrectly in Switzerland will also have to pay a fine in Germany from May.
This is regulated by a new agreement between the two countries. Until now, traffic offenders have been able to sit out the sometimes hefty fines from Switzerland in Germany: fines from countries outside the EU - such as Switzerland or Great Britain - could not be enforced. There was only a risk of trouble if they entered the country again.
