Swedish Radio has been active on Twitter since 2009. For the past six years, the accounts of the various channels have been inactive, although some editors have still been present.

Time and resource constraints force the channel to "opt out all the time" Public service labelling not cause for the decision, says Christian Gillinger, responsible for social media, in a blog post. "Twitter has simply changed over the years and has become less important to us," Gillinger writes in the post.
