"Art is a constant resistance," says cartoonist Khalid Albaih. His latest drawing depicts Sudanese enemies as dogs fighting over a piece of meat.

In the West, he is perhaps best known for his drawing of the black American football player Colin Kaepernick, kneeling with an afro in the shape of a clenched fist. He is co-leading an art program that was founded in the wake of the Arab Spring in 2011. The group explores how the media can promote democracy and human rights in the Middle East.
