There are more than 200 tribes and ethnic groups in Chad, most of which extend to neighboring countries. There are 130 languages and dialects spread in the country, and Chadian Arabic is considered the most widespread.

The constitution stipulates that the official languages ​​are French and Arabic. Some of them are Arabs, and some extend to neighbouring countries. The most prominent tribes in Chad are: Sarah, Tebu, Zaghawa, Hausa, Al-Hassouna and Juhayna.
