An international conference is being held in Tokyo for investigative agencies from around the world to share information on the crime situation surrounding illegal drugs. The international conference, which began on the 30th at a hotel in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, is attended by approximately 100 people.
According to the National Police Agency, as of November last year, 425 people had been arrested for smuggling drugs into Japan, an increase of more than 100 people compared to the same period a year ago, and 61% of these were foreigners.
