Driver did not have a permit for the exotic animals. The man is being investigated for violating the Animal Welfare Act, it was said. He claimed to have purchased the animals privately in Serbia. They were taken into care by the veterinary office in Görlitz, the police said. The incident happened on Holy Saturday in the town of Mücka.
