Satisfaction with life has declined for the second consecutive year, perhaps due to wages not being able to keep up with rising prices. The Cabinet Office conducted a public opinion poll of 5,000 people aged 18 and over across the country from November to December last year.

According to the results, a total of 49% of people answered that they were "satisfied" or "somewhat satisfied" with their current life, which was 2.8 percentage points lower than the previous year.
