Sanko Confectionery Factory Fire in Niigata Otototo's Representative Director and 4 others sent to prosecutors. Police said the fire started from pieces of rice crackers that had accumulated inside the dryer, and did not thoroughly clean it up.
Police found that there were problems with the company's safety management, and referred four people, including Sanko Seika's representative director and the then head of the manufacturing division, to the prosecutor's office on suspicion of causing death due to professional negligence.
