A council made up of landowners of land where the garrison is planned to be developed held a general meeting on January 1. 184 landowners were in favor of the sale of the land, and 49 were against it.
The council decided to sell the land to the Ministry of Defense. As a result, it was effectively decided to establish a garrison at Saga Airport, and the deployment of the Osprey was expected to proceed. The local fisheries cooperative decided to review the agreement with the prefecture that "Saga Airport will not be shared with the Self-Defense Forces"
