Russian media reported false news of King Charles' death. Great Britain immediately denied this, but the news still made it out of the country.
News of the king's death also found its way to Ukraine, where it was picked up by a leading television channel. Tajikistan's largest independent media company, Asia-Plus, fell for the false news. "It is now known that the screenshot was wrong and the king is alive," wrote the Mash channel on Monday. Charles is being treated for cancer, but continues to run state affairs.
