Residents of northern Gaza defy starvation by cooking wild plants. Residents are searching for the hibiscus plant in the agricultural areas east of Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and north of Beit Lahia.

Even though it may not be healthy after the occupation army targeted these areas with white phosphorus, residents are still trying to cook the plant in order to get food for their families. The plant is being used as a source of food for the people of the northern Gaza Strip, who have been forced to live off the land.
