A 54-year-old man near Hanover called the police and fire brigade 26 times on Saturday. Police officers drove to the man's apartment and confronted him.

But as soon as they had left, the man called 110 and 112 again. When the man began to insult and threaten the officers, the patience of the emergency services was apparently at an end. They took all the phones from the permanent voter to prevent further calls. The man now has to pay, among other things, the costs of the operation.
