Paz Vega (Seville, 1976) has no academic training as a filmmaker or writer. She has read scripts of all kinds, both those that have later become flesh in her person and the many that she has rejected.

Her debut will be titled 'Rita' and has autobiographical overtones, as it is an initiatory film about a girl from a neighborhood of Seville in full celebration of Spain's passage to the quarterfinals in Euro 1984. Filming will start this Thursday, May 25, will last six weeks and has among the cast with Roberto Álamo and herself in a small role.
