Osaka/Kansai Expo: Bringing food into the venue will now be allowed. The Japan Exposition Association announced guidelines in January this year regarding what can be brought into the Expo venue.
The association says this is because after examining the X-ray inspection method used at entry, it was found that the contents of food could be identified even when the food was placed in an insulated bag. Regarding drinks, people will be allowed to bring in water bottles, plastic bottles, etc., but alcoholic beverages and bottles will continue to be prohibited.
