Osaka City raises the standard amount of nursing care insurance premiums for people aged 65 and over to more than 100,000 yen per year. The current standard amount in Osaka City is 8,094 yen per month.
The city plans to submit a proposed amendment to the ordinance to the city council, which is currently in session, for a vote. It is estimated that by 2040 it will be around 9,000 Yen a month, and as the population ages rapidly, the amount continues to increase.
