It has been 10 days and one week since a helicopter carrying 13 people, including a division commander of the Ground Self-Defense Force, disappeared around Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture. The search so far has not yielded any strong clues that will lead to the discovery of the crew.
Parts of the aircraft have been found away from the original search area, and the Self- defense forces are expanding the search range. The helicopter disappeared about 3 kilometers northeast of Irabu Island, but some of the new finds were found in waters north of the original Search area.
